70+ Elements from the Historical Collections Digitized
After completion of our first in-house digitization project, several hours of material from the historical audiovisual collections are now available for consultation on line. A big portion of the new content consists on multi-subject news reports —also called UNESCO News or Actualités de l'UNESCO— that illustrate the actions undertaken by the organization and its partners on a wide range of themes: from education and culture to climate change and communication and development, among others.
UNESCO - TBS Partnership: Promoting Awareness about World Heritage Sties
In 1996 Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) partnered with the World Heritage Centre to communicate important messages about World Heritage to a large audience, using television, radio, and other media. The striking images and inspiring music in these series have helped bring about broader understanding and convey the true value of the World Heritage Convention.
