UNESCO Basic Education Director talks about the forthcoming first ever World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education (WCECCE), Building the Wealth of Nations, which is to take place from September 27 to 29, 2010 in Moscow City, Russian Federation.

The three-day event will be the first major global conference dedicated to the theme and will gather participants from 193 UNESCO member states and world experts to reaffirm the role of ECCE as a right for every child and as the basis for the development of nations.

The WCECCE will be the fifth in a series of international education conferences organized by UNESCO in 2008-2010 and will follow up on major milestones towards Goal 1 of the Education for All goals
