Summary/Historical Context

This documentary was first shown at UNESCO on 25 November 2010, during the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Like “Voices on the Rise, the conference it was part of, the film bears testimony to the lives of Afghan women working as journalists, producers, managers, writers, photographers, filmmakers or human rights activists. it also offers a positive side of culture and progress in Afghanistan through the strong and active presence of Afghan women working in the public eye, sometimes at great threat to themselves.
