Horse and camel Ardhah

Language: عربى

Horse and camel Ardhah is practised across many regions of Oman. On Alardhah day, people gather around the racecourse to enjoy various shows by horse and camel riders, as well as traditional accompanying arts such as the reciting of traditional poems. Alardhah starts with a series of traditional acts, which are followed by a display of horses and camels draped in decorative clothing. Alardhah reflects Omani people’s skill in taming and dealing with horses and camels, along with their devotion to the care of animals.
