A video competition to raise awareness in schools about the Memory of the World Programme in Asia- Pacific was organized for participants at the Memory of the World Pilot Project on Cultural Awareness held in Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines. More than 100 students told stories from their country and about people “in their own backyard”. Through this process, students showed creativity and ability to engage in preservation and promotion of heritage.
