On 8 March each year, UNESCO invites editors-in-chief around the world to hand over their editorial responsibilities to their women staff through the Women Make the News initiative.The initiative theme for the year 2008 was Women's Untold Stories, which focused on the coverage highlighting the everyday challenges and achievements of women. Al Jazeera's Everywoman programme partnered with UNESCO that year to help spread this message by producing a 1 minute promotional clip with host Shiulie Ghosh explaining this year's theme.
