Summary/Historical Context

The UNESCO Office in Amman, in partnership with the Spanish Agency for Technical Cooperation and Pioneer Productions Company, held a stand-up comedy festival in June 2011. Throughout April and May 2011, young people from different social and cultural backgrounds in Amman took part in a comedy training programme, learning skills and techniques of stand-up comedy from professional Jordanian comedians.
