Summary/Historical Context

The main objective of this Chair established at the University of Bradford, is to develop an international team of researchers in education for peace in Africa. The Chair develops a capacity building with 50 African universities and higher education sector on curriculum for peace and conflict studies, staff capacities building and policy mainstreaming in the field of education for peace. UNESCO provides a unique international network platform for researchers and teachers. UNESCO chair develops not only intra-African partnership, but also gives a opportunity to African universities to cooperate with other regions in the field of education for peace and conflict studies.
