Language: English
Available in:»English»Français»Deutsch»Italiano

Scattered across the globe, astonishing examples can be found of both human creations and nature's transformative processes: they are part of our cultural and natural heritage.

The aim of the World Heritage Convention, adopted at UNESCO in 1972, is to recognize cultural and natural assets of outstanding universal value as belonging to the heritage of all humanity and to preserve them for future generations.

This video, produced by the Swiss National Commission for UNESCO, introduces us to the eleven sites in Switzerland that are part of the World Heritage List. It is part of the DVD World Heritage in Switzerland, which consists on a series of 34 short documentary films that tell the story of these exceptional places.
