The aim of the World Heritage Convention, adopted at UNESCO in 1972, is to recognize cultural and natural assets of outstanding universal value as belonging to the heritage of all humanity and to preserve them for future generations.

This video, produced by the Swiss National Commission for UNESCO, introduces us to the eleven sites in Switzerland that are part of the World Heritage List.
