The different ecosystems converging in Doñana make this natural reserve one of Europe's few remaining paradises for fauna. Interlinking marshlands, banks, reserve zones, pinewoods, dunes and beaches comprise a vibrant and complex area of great originality and beauty. Doñana is a strategic location for large populations of endangered fauna, and a resting and breeding place for many species of migrating birds crossing Africa and Europe.
