Summary/Historical Context
In 2006, UNESCO dispatched a mission to Lebanon to evaluate the damage to cultural heritage resulting from warfare. Two projects were launched in 2007. One aims at reinforcing human resources for the digital documentation of World Heritage sites affected by armed conflicts. The second project is designed to encourage cultural reconciliation among Lebanese youth.
