The World Orchestra for Peace (WOP) is made up of the finest musicians from the world's leading orchestras. It was established by legendary conductor Sir Georg Solti in 1995 with a very special goal: to reaffirm the unique strength of music as an ambassador for peace.
Led by UNESCO Artist for Peace Valery Gergiev, this concert by the WOP pays tribute to Solti who was, to quote the Prince of Wales, a deeply committed humanitarian and a passionate advocate in the cause of international peace and understanding.
