According to the aims of CCIVS, development is a global process based
on co-operation and an exchange of ideas, values and knowledge.
Literacy
campaigns, technical training projects for women and young people, projects
on cultural heritage and agriculture, the construction of schools and
environmental programmes are all examples of the work of CCIVS and its
member organisations over the past years.
Projects
organised for these purposes contribute to the promotion of peace and
to intercultural contacts and dialogue. They gather people from different
countries on a common project requiring effort and involvement. The activities
of CCIVS members are based on the principle of non-discrimination and
are open to men and women of any background, ethnic group, age and religion.
Following
you will find examples of projects of the late nineties. They are divided
by areas of work:
Preservation of cultural heritage
Basic and non-formal education
Rural development - Reconstruction
