CCIVS maintains formal relations of association with UNESCO and its office is located in the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris (see contact for the full address).

CCIVS works with UNESCO on the following issues:

* the organisation of projects, for example in the frame of the Participation Programme (in DRC in 2001, Zimbabwe in 2003 or Kenya in 2004)

* involvement in actions related to UNESCO themes, for example HIV/AIDS or ICT or Sustainable Development

* CCIVS is a founding member of the Joint Programmatic Commission on Youth

* CCIVS is a member of the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee
