The Drafting Group on item 3.1 (31C/4) consists of the following Member States: Germany, Canada, United Kingdom (Group I); Russian Federation, Latvia, Czech Republic (Group II); Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica (Group III); India, Japan, New Zealand (Group IV); Benin, Malawi, Nigeria (Group Va); Oman, Syria, Tunisia (Group Vb).
The group is chaired by Mr. Michel Agnaïeff (Canada)
The Drafting Group is entrusted with preparing for the plenary a draft resolution for the adoption of the Medium-Term Strategy for 2002-2007, based on the one proposed in document 31C/4 Add . The Group will take account of observations made during the general policy debate, the recommendations of the Executive Board (31C /11), the parts of the programme commissions reports dealing with the Medium-Term Strategy (item 3.1 of the agenda) and draft resolutions submitted under item 3.1.
