The Dubrovnik Conference's goal is to create a radical foundation for peacebuilding that will support and create non-violent and preventive methods of responding to conflict. Its purpose is to provide, inter alia  an environment for deep inquiry, whole systems integration, creative visioning, spiritual renewal, informed and empathic citizen action.

Peace is in Our Hands

Working to build a Culture of Peace and Nonviolence during this United Nations "Year for the Culture of Peace," the Coalition for a Strong United Nations and the Boston Research Center for the 21st Century and other New England organizations are sponsoring a two-day event entitled "Peace is in Our Hands." Activities  inclued a book-publishing celebration of Dr. Elise Boulding's new book, "Cultures of Peace, the Hidden Side of History."   Speakers include former Ambassador Swanee Hunt, Dr. Elise Boulding and Dr. Vincent Harding. The conference will include 6 afternoon interactive workshops, dance performances and an exhibit by Tapori Peacemakers: "Peace and Justice Start at Home, in School, and in my Community."
