The
United Nations International Day of Peace
Hear the Children Day |
The
International Day of Peace serves as a reminder of our permanent commitment to Peace,
above all interests and differences of any kind, and gives positive evidence of that
commitment through actions of co-operation. Join with the United Nations and citizens of
the world at Noon, wherever you are, in One Minute of Silence to focus on Peace and the
messages of the world's children, followed by practical acts of Peace. This annual Peace
Day is the Highlight Day of the "WE THE PEOPLES" INITIATIVE. This Initiative is
a United Nations Peace Messenger Initiative, a co-operative movement to unite the
strengths of existing organizations and projects toward making PEACE a practical reality
in the 21st Century, for the children of this and future generations. |
