Environmental education for school children, Madagascar

Ari Ramilimanitra is leading a project
to increase the awareness in school children of their actions and implications on the environment. Based around activities to beautify the school grounds and facilities, the project also involves:
- Organising games and drawing competitions based on the environment;
- Initiating a film session to sensitize the participants on the environmental issues they face. Distribute educational documents and discuss and debate the issues;
- Running a 'Beautiful gardens' competition on the school grounds and a clean-up of the class-rooms and school;
- Organising an educational visit to the zoo and Tsimbazaza botanical gardens;
