Malaysia

A training course on ‘Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems for Coastal Application, SEAMEO BIOTROP’ was held in Bogar, Indonesia in October 2001. At least one person from Malaysia attended the course.

Papers on the Spratlys were posted on the web-based ‘Wise Coastal Practices for Sustainable Human Development’ Forum in March and June 2002: ‘The Spratlys as a Zone of Peace: the Transboundary Biosphere Reserve Concept at work’ and The Spratly Islands: an Opportunity for Environmental Diplomacy?
