Myanmar
One person from Myanmar attended the Man and the Biosphere-CSI ECOTONE IX interdisciplinary workshop ‘Wise Practices in Coastal Tourism Development in Protected Areas’ in the Philippines in May 2000. The Puerto Galera 2000 Declaration ‘A Charter for Ecotourism in Biosphere Reserves’ was adopted. A training course on ‘Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems for Coastal Application, SEAMEO BIOTROP’ was held in Bogar, Indonesia in October 2001. At least one person from Myanmar attended the course.
