The Republic of the Sudan
A trainee from Sudan attended a regional training course on the ‘Use of Remote-Sensing Techniques in Coastal Research and Management’ (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, December 1996).
In April 2002 a fact finding mission was conducted. A report was produced: ‘Fact Finding Mission, Port Sudan, Red Sea State, The Republic of Sudan’.
A team of consultants visited the Port Sudan region in January 2003. they identified potential sites for a ‘Biosaline Pilot Farm for Livestock Production’ and discussed its establishment with various stakeholders.
