Legal provision for integrated coastal zone management
FOREWORD
The textbook “Coastal Law” was prepared within the framework of the TEMPUS/TACIS European project T_JEP-10814-1999 “Development of integrated coastal management training and education” and is the result of close cooperation between the Russian State Hydrometeorological University (RSHU, St. Petersburg), the University of Cádiz (Spain) and the University of Aveiro (Portugal).
The
structure and contents of the textbook were discussed with experts in coastal
legislation at the Universities of Cádiz and Aveiro. The authors express their gratitude to Dr. F. Martins (University
of Aveiro) for consultations, valuable comments and advice concerning the context
of the textbook, and also to A. Izquierdo Gonzalez (University
of Cádiz), for help
in selecting the necessary materials.
T.R.
Eremina, who also produced the book, wrote Parts 1 and 3; E.V. Stetsko wrote
Part 2.
The authors are grateful to Yu. G. Mikhailichenko (Department of Life and Earth Sciences, Ministry of Industry and Science of the Russian Federation) for the opportunity to get acquainted and use the concept of integrated coastal zone management legislation, as well as to Prof V.V. Galtsova, who along with experts from St. Petersburg took part in the development of the “Coastal codex of the Russian Federation” and kindly shared materials on this draft law.
