Figure 11.4 Broadscale habitat map (4 classes only) based on a supervised classification of the whole Caicos Bank using Landsat TM imagery that has been subject to water column correction and contextual editing. Even at this coarse level of habitat discrimination the best overall accuracy which can be achieved is only 73%. For SPOT XS an overall accuracy of 67% was achieved for the same level of processing.
