2004 Media Programme

An intensive Small Islands Voice media programme is being conducted in 2004 to find out the general public's views on various topical issues.

On 2nd March 2004, members of the SIV Public Relations sub-committee took part in a panel discussion on Small Islands Voice on a morning radio show 'Breakfast with Toni'. Other subjects have been the focus of WIN FM's 'Voices'. Panels have discussed the advantages and disadvantages of employing foreign workers (3rd March 2004) and whether local farmers should be the sole suppliers to fresh fruit and vegetables to locally based resorts (10th March 2004). During the programmes, people phone in with questions and comments. All the comments and opinions are compiled. The SIV jingle and rap poem are also regularly aired.
