The Small Island Voice National Coordinating Committee presents a Programme of activities towards Mauritius.

The Small Island Voice National Coordinating Committee is pleased to invite your participation in the programme of activities towards Mauritius in a forum for exchanging your views on environmental and developmental issues in St. Kitts and Nevis. At the end of this activity, two young people, one from each island will be selected to represent the country at 'Youth Visioning for Island Living' a youth event that will be held during the Sustainable Development Conference of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in Mauritius in January 2005.

The objectives of this activity are to:

• Create awareness and encourage participation by youths in shaping and advancing the SIDS programme of action.
  
  
• Facilitate the preparation of youth proposals for sustainable island living to be presented to the Mauritius meeting and implemented after the meeting.
  
  
• Encourage Young Islanders to work together especially in an inter-regional mode.

Individuals who are attached to the Small Island Voice Back Chat Group within the schools and other youth organization and those who are not affiliated with any schools or other organizations are invited to participate in the writing and presentation of this essay. All candidates will be required to participate in a series of activities. Guidelines are attached.
