monologue 'Up from the deep'
Ms Vernette
Ollivierre, a teacher at the Bequia Community High School and
a member of the Small Islands Voice Coordinating Committee in
St. Vincent and the Grenadines, wrote this dramatic monologue
'Up from the deep'. It was performed
by Ms. Racquel Phillips and Mr. Michael Penniston at the closing
ceremony of the Second Regional Sandwatch Workshop in Dominica
on 9th July 2003. The drama portrays the ocean responding to decades
and centuries of misuse by humans.
