Commonwealth Youth Award Ceremony

Seventeen projects from seven countries in the region submitted projects for the Commonwealth Youth Award. St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Jamaica and Guyana won awards for their projects. The students from Bequia Anglican High School in St. Vincent and the Grenadines won the Commonwealth Youth Award in 2003 for their role in protecting the environment through their activities in the UNESCO Sandwatch project (hotlink), and in particular their efforts to monitor the changes in Bequia's beaches.
