Seventeen
young people from Mauritius were among the 94 participants at
the Youth Visioning for Island
Living Meeting held in Mauritius in January 2005.

Following
this important meeting the youth have been working hard to
implement their visions. In particular, Qadir Mahamoodally
selected the theme 'My Island Home' for his project. Within
this framework, he led a team of youth volunteers in the organization
of a day
of games and activities for 80 disabled youths in February
2006 at Flic and Flac. The project was deemed a big success
creating interest in arranging similar activities for the
future. |
