Seychelles Youth during a cultural presentation at the Youth Visioning Meeting in Mauritius, January 2005

Five young people from Seychelles were among the 94 participants at the Youth Visioning for Island Living Meeting held in Mauritius in January 2005.

Following this important meeting the youth have been working hard to implement their visions. In particular, Sabrina Marie selected the theme 'Money in my pocket' for her project. Within this framework, she is leading a project to implement a job training and placement scheme for unemployed young people in Seychelles. Sabrina Marie

Furthermore, following an exchange between young people from Seychelles and Dominica on the Small Islands Voice Youth Internet Forum (username view and password only), one young person from Seychelles will travel to Dominica to experience their Creole Festival in October 2006, while at the same time a youth from Dominica will travel to Seychelles to participate in their Creole Festival, also in October 2006.
