Youth-based activities in The Bahamas

  • Students from Hope Town Primary School launch the new phase of the Small Islands Voice Youth Internet Forum in 2006 with an article on ecotourism (with username view and password only) Feb '06
  • Youth from Hope Town Primary School in Abaco and Yellow Elder Primary School in Nassau submit entries to the UNESCO Community Sandwatch competition, Jun '04
  • Students from Hope Town Primary School launch the third phase of the Small Islands Voice youth internet forum with an article on Life and love on our island, Mar '04
  • Thirty-five youth people from New Providence and the Family Islands met in Nassau from 27-30 January 2004 to participate in Youth Focus Bahamas and to prepare a manifesto on how they would like to see their country develop in the future. They had the opportunity to present their manifesto to the Inter-regional preparatory meeting for the review of the Programme of Action for Small Island Developing States, January 2004
  • Students from Hope Town Primary School are the first school in the Bahamas to start taking part in the Small Islands Voice internet-based youth forum, Nov '03 (see http://www.sivyouth.org/?read=177 with user name view and password only)
  • A student from Hope Town Primary School participates in the Second Regional Sandwatch Workshop in Dominica in July 2003
