Exhibition Modern and Contemporary Painting from the Collection of Dr. Erich Marx

A project of an exhibition of works from the collection of E. Marx for Szczecin including American and British painting ( Ross Bleckner, Dexter Dalwood, Peter Halley, Fiona Rae, Julien Schnabel), Italian (Sandro Chia,Francesco Clemente, Enzo Cucchi) and German artists (Walter Dahn, Martin Disler, Tim Eitel, Rainer Fetting, Eberhard Havekost, Anselm Kiefer, Frank Nitsche, Tomas Scheibitz.) The focus is on one form of conveyance. The exhibition is planned to display European and American painting. In the central point of the exhibition, which concentrates on painting, there should sound a different tune - a sculpture by Michael Butler as an „Arbeit vor Ort”, black spacial dimension surrounded by colorful paintings. The exhibition would display formal common origin and relation to the paintings put in a national layout. The works originate from various periods and belong to various generations. They show, however, an amazing continuity in the painting development. Taking the accuracy of the painting topic into consideration, the exhibition could be perceived very well in Szczecin.
