Media encounters "From multiculturalism to intercultural dialogue - Speak out against discrimination"


Organisation of a national media encounter on professional and journalistic practices. Production and publication/broadcasting of media reports offering different perspectives on the fight against discrimination.
Participants will be asked to produce, by groups, a report offering different perspectives on the above-mentionned topics. The way the subjects are dealt with are treated in these report must reflect their local, national dimensions. Based on practical production activity, the meeting should give media professionals a better understanding of the benefits that everyone can derive from the intercultural dialogue and peaceful conflict resolution. The purpose of the meeting is to enable public opinion to see and hear a different way of expressing the diversity that exists in Ukraine.
In addition to the journalists involved in the initiative, the programme will include a session open to mayors/chief politicians from cities wanting to build intercultural policies and be involved in international networks. Special guests from European media and cities are invited to present best practices.
