International research to practice conference "The native language in modern society: young peoples' attitude"

Résumé

The conference "The native language in modern society: young peoples' attitude" is dedicated to the International Year for the Rapprochement of cultures and organized by Russian Academy of Linguistics, Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages and Journal "Contemporary Humanitarian Studies". It will be attended by members of the teaching staff and students of educational establishments of Moscow, Russia, CIS and Baltic countries.
The aim of the conference is to attract young researchers, students and postgraduates of former Soviet Union to discuss issues of the native languages development in CIS and Baltic countries and the status of the Russian language in ex-Soviet republics.
The priority of the conference is to reveal problems connected with the use of the native languages and involve young people into the discussion of the issue and to promote the Russian language in former Soviet republics.
