Exhibition "Africa in America: Communication for Cooperation"

Résumé

The project consists of promoting the rapprochement between Africa and Latin America through a large educational exhibition which aims to render visible the influence of Africa on the development of the peoples of Latin America. The project takes root in the UNESCO Slave Route project and processes of liberation and emancipation, and focuses on cultural projections concerning the domains of language, music, literature, religion, gastronomy, handicrafts, etc.
The exhibition will take place in the grand hall of the Rectorate of the University of Malaga, in the centre of the city, and will contain 50 didactic panels, artistic demonstrations and numerous audiovisual materials. It will be celebrated from 12 July to 25 August,during the high touristic season, and an approximative 100 000 visitors are expected.
