Project "Language Rights for All"     

Résumé

UEA, the World Esperanto Association, has consultative status with UN, Unesco and other international agencies. In this capacity it is starting now this Project "Language Rights for All" because this is the core misison of Esperanto, Esperanto don't aim at replacing other languages, but at preserving them. Language rights can only be guaranteed to all by means of a neutral language such as Esperanto. The project takes place specially in Geneva, seat of the UN Human Rights Council, to whom UEA presents well documented cases of non respect of language rights.
Stages: - presenting the project during the year 2009 by articles in the Esperanto press and in web pages in Esperanto - finding the participants to monitor language situations in the world Human and financial resources: - Esperanto-speaking people acting on a voluntary basis - Budgetary funds from the normal budget of UEA Used tools: - presentation of case problems to UNHRCR in Geneva - presentig the same situations to the pubblic opionion by articles, web pages, and so on.
