Travelling photo exhibition "China and its neighbouring countries"

Résumé

Our project (it's full name entitled: China and its neighboring countries-- the value of cultural and ethnic diversity and dialogue through lenses of international photographers ) envisages that our members will cooperate with photographers of other neighboring Asian countries, to visit and capture features of various nationalities both in China and in our larger environment and neighborhood. The focus will be to identify both differences and similar customs and the characteristics in different cultures. This photo exhibition will tour Asian countries during the Asian Games which will be held in November 2010 in Guangzhou, China. The ultimate purpose of this project is to promote the dialogues among different cultures and thus to improve communication and understanding between China and its neighboring countries.

The 2010 International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures affirms the immense influence that intercultural dialogues can produce. Meanwhile it makes NGOs in cultural field, like China Folklore Photographic Association fully and bravely act on their mission. What's more, the NGO UNESCO family will establish cooperation in broader aspects, especially when the NGOs acting in the same field. We welcome 2010 International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures very much, which is a great opportunity to promote mutual understanding and world peace.
