Sixth Open Youth Delphic Games of CIS Member States


The Sixth Open Youth Delphic Games of the Commonwealth of Independent States' member states was devoted to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War and included in the International Action Plan for the celebration of “2010, the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures” coordinated by UNESCO. In 19 nominations the Games gathered around 600 art workers from 16 countries – CIS member states, France, Turkey, Bulgaria, etc. The past event contributed considerably to the search of young art workers, increase of their professional level, assistance of the intercultural dialogue, and support the cultures’ diversity. Competitions were held in the form of contest and festival programs in two age groups (junior and senior) and consisted of 19 nominations of folk, classical and modern art: piano, violin, saxophone, academical singing, folk singing, pop singing, folk dance, academical dance, circus on stage, photography, fine arts (painting and graphic art), web design, pantomime, television journalism, fashion, DJ, actors art, folk crafts, and folk instruments. The jury, formed for each nomination, consisted of 72 masters of Arts of standing reputation. On June 30, a Conference devoted to two main themes – the role of the system of values of the society in the critical historical situations - Victory in the Second World War 1941-1945 and 2010 and The International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures took place in Yerevan.
