Watch and change - Development Education through audiovisual means

The main aim of the project was to offer teachers and pupils interesting contemporary documentary films on global themes from climate change to intercultural dialogue. Teachers were given background and didactic materials for using the films as teaching material in different subjects and pupils will be encouraged to form film clubs for screening the films during their spare time. Documentary films were used as a key tool for raising awareness and stimulating the interest of young people in global and intercultural issues. They help to strengthen understanding among young people of global contexts and global interdependence between North and South and encourage young people to actively participate in finding solutions to local and global challenges.
