Exhibition of photos “People of deer - Siberian Orochens”


xhibition is the result of Dr. Donatas Brandišauskas research made in 2005-2006 when he was living and
roaming with small Siberian Orochen tribe, whose main occupation is pasturage of deer and hunting. For a
long time it was said that this small nation has vanished. But Dr. D. Brandisauskas was a witness of
Orochens daily life. The aim of exhibition was to show how the Orochens are living nowadays, their
traditions, the resurrection of ancient knowledge, their independence of the centralized economy, their
religious views, ways of using novelties.
