Legislation
Act of parliament concerning the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage has been in force since January 2004
Inventory making
Several initiatives have been taken by various cultural and research organizations regarding intangible cultural heritage, but no systematic national inventory has yet been conducted in Mauritius as at March 2005.
