The Local Branch of the ICHNetwork based in Sala Consilina, in collaboration with the Administration of the Municipality of Sala Consilina and the Istituto “Marco Tullio Cicerone” of Sala Consilina – on the occasion of the Tenth Anniversary of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the ICH, within the ICHNet initiative «Culture Viventi», organize a creative writing competition in local language for students of high school of Sala Consilina aiming at disseminating especially among young people awareness of the importance and respect of the language tradition of the communities to which they belong. As this is a primary identity feature and an element bearing the entire cultural intangible and tangible system of a group.
The program includes a presentation of the Convention prepared by the students and the inauguration of the Laboratorio di Studi del Territorio e di Scrittura Creativa «Vittorio Bracco», established within the Liceo classico of Sala Consilina. In the afternoon, the winners of the contest will be rewarded and the best compositions will be publicly read. The ICHNET organizations - accredited to UNESCO - Circolo della Zampogna di Scapoli, Associazione Totarella, Associazione Multietnica Europea, Associazione Carpinofolkfestival, will partecipate in the event.
