Conference on Intangible and Tangible Veterinary Heritage

After the World Veterinary Year, 2011, which was named by OIE with support of UNESCO, International Bourgelat Committee was established, this International Committee has national committees in different countries. The objective of the mentioned committee is preservation of intangible and tangible scientific and cultural veterinary heritage and its mediation to the widest possible public. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the ICH convention, we decide to raise awareness and appreciation of intangible as well as tangible veterinary heritage, since the term ICH is defined as the practices concerning nature and the universe , traditional craftsmanship, knowledge, skills as well as the instruments, objects, and cultural spaces.
