Discipline: contemporary dance (advanced level). The host and partner institution: the Instituto Superior de Arte is a centre of advanced studies in the fields of theatre, dance, music, visual arts and audio-visual media. Created in 1976, it offers courses at the undergraduate, graduate, MA and Ph.D. levels. Nature of the bursary: round trip travel, suscription, full board and lodging at the students' hostel and working materials. Artist must provide their health insurance. Dates of the residency: 20 September to 20 December 2002 or 5 February to 5 May 2003. Eligibility: dancers from Latin America, the Caribbean or Africa under the age of 30, with completed training in dance at the secondary level and, two years of professional experience. Working knowledge of Spanish required. How to apply: apply directly to Instituto Superior de Arte by sending a curriculum vitæ, a copy of diplomas, a video cassette demostrating the technical level of the candidate, two reference letters. Non spanish-speaking candidates must join a language proficiency certificate. Deadline: 30 April 2002.
