Discipline: contemporary dance. The host and partner institution: since 1992, the CNDC l'Esquisse has put on a diversified performance programme in co-operation with the Nouveau Théâtre d'Angers. Directed by Joëlle Bouvier and Régis Obadia, the Centre consists of the Bouvier/Obadia company, an advanced dance school as well as a training programme for amateurs and residencies. Nature of the bursary: round trip travel, per diem to cover tuition and accomodation. The laureate bears food costs. Artists must provide their own health insurance. Dates of the residency: between Janurary and May 2003. Eligibility: choreographers of demonstrated ability and com-mitment from Asia/Pacific, Africa and Arab states. Candidates should have developed a specific project for either a solo or duo performance. Working knowledge of English or French required.
