Interactive Model

20th century

The exhibition complements an interactive information technology program that is based around a tactile monitor and a model of the Marina Baixa County, scale 1:18,000. The exhibition aims to provide a deep understanding of culture, history and the actual use of water. Through the interactive model, the history of the culture of water can be traced through the observation of some impressive hydraulic public works and their functioning over time. This is achieved through some 225 artefacts associated with the culture of water, as well as their relevant details and 624 photographs.

Apart from the interactive model, in this exhibition room information relative to the morphology of the zone: the mountains, spots along the rivers, aquifers and the villages of the county. The teaching content and the information provide a clear story of the knowledge that exists about the hydrological potential of the Marina Baixa.
