Alhaji Aliyu Ikra Bilbis is Nigeria's Honourable Minister
of State for Information and Communications.
Alhaji Bilbis, who holds an Advanced Diploma in Public
Administration, was born on February 13, 1957. From 1992
to 1993, he was a member of the Nigerian House of
Representatives.
Also, from January 10 to May 29, 2007 he was Minister of
State: Federal Ministry of Environment, Housing and Urban
Development. Shortly before then, he had been the
National Chairman of Accord Party of Nigeria - from May
to November, 2006.
Alhaji Bilbis was also a two term Chairman of Tsafe Local
Government Council, Zamfara State, Nigeria -from 1997 to
2001. Since 2001, he has been a member of the Board of
Trustees of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria
[ALGON].
