Address by Koïchiro Matsuura
Mr. Matsuura: Since our time is very limited I would
like simply to thank you all for the very useful contributions you have made to the
dialogue among civilizations. My particular thanks go to Mr. Picco, who has chaired this
afternoon's session very skilfully. I would stress that the views, suggestions and
proposals you have made will be duly taken into account in the future activities of the
United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in the areas of
education, culture, science and communication. As I said at this morning's session we
would like to pursue various events and meetings in the course of the international Year
of Dialogue among Civilizations. All that you have said today will be very good
suggestions for these events. I thank you again.
