à élaborer des stratégies nationales d'éducation. M. Faure répond aux questions de
l'assistance après une introduction de René Maheu, Directeur général de l'UNESCO.

Kenya with a successful Interactive English language speaking, reading and writing
Radio Programme for primary schools; improving higher education in Saudi Arabia by
providing assistance in planning facilities at the King Faisal University; in the
field of social development, international AIDS prevention programmes, f
amily planning, nutrition and agricultural needs, i.e. a mass media programme for
mothers in The Gambia on avoiding dehydration of children, and in Jordan, Peru and West Indies
programmes for small farmers to improve agricultural productivity.

UNESCO-CNN news clip on the publication of the World Education Report, prepared by
the UNESCO Secretariat, the first issue in a new biennial series aiming to present a

It reviews the expansion of enrolments in formal education, focusing especially on
basic education and on continuing challenges in that area.
