Unmasking AIDS

"Unmasking AIDS" is about a group of friends who attend a youth club set in a multi-racial area of East London. Ginny's mother Gwen (a family planning worker) helps the young people to produce some improvised dramas on HIV prevention. The real life tension and dilemmas between Ginny and her mother get mixed up in a "mask play" which culminates in a dramatic finale. The play shows that men and women of all ages may have worries about HIV infection and that talking honestly about sex can sometimes change negative attitudes and behaviour.
