Programme Activities Pilot Projects
These provide technical support to Member States for the development and construction of prototype multifunctional educational facilities meeting the requirements of both formal and non-formal education, using local materials and improved techniques, including resistance to natural disasters. These pilots projects are designed with a view to being replicated within the same country or adapted to others with similar condition, and to serve as a basis for large-scale externally financed national construction programmes.
